Director, IT Vendor Management

What you will do

• Develop and execute an IT vendor management strategy aligned with enterprise and technology priorities.
• Establish governance frameworks, policies, controls, segmentation models, and processes across the vendor lifecycle.
• Lead vendor performance management using SLAs, KPIs, scorecards, business reviews, and continuous improvement plans.
• Partner with procurement and legal teams on contract negotiations, pricing, service levels, security requirements, penalties, and exit provisions.
• Optimize vendor spend, budgets, forecasts, total cost of ownership, and demand management strategies.
• Oversee third-party risk, compliance, cybersecurity due diligence, continuity planning, stakeholder alignment, and vendor management team development.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in IT, sourcing, vendor management, or procurement.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing vendor management or strategic sourcing teams.
• Proven experience managing large, complex vendor portfolios with significant spend.
• Strong experience in contract negotiation, vendor performance management, financial analysis, and cost optimization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Executive presence, analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience working in complex, matrixed, decentralized, multi-entity, or regulated environments.
