High Throughput DSP - Senior Scientist (Bioprocessing)

Location: Slough, UK; fully site-based role

What you will do

• Design, plan, and independently execute purification process development studies.
• Develop, optimise, and implement high-throughput workflows for efficient and scalable process development.
• Configure and operate high-throughput equipment, including monitoring, data capture, and troubleshooting.
• Analyse experimental data and provide scientifically sound conclusions and recommendations.
• Identify delivery risks and implement mitigation strategies while maintaining quality, data integrity, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with analytical, automation, bioinformatics, data science, and purification development teams while providing scientific and technical leadership.

Requirements

• Scientific or engineering background in biotechnology, chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related discipline, with a BSc/BEng or equivalent experience.
• Advanced laboratory experience and the ability to independently execute complex experimental studies.
• Experience with high-throughput workflows, laboratory automation, or related bioprocessing technologies.
• Strong data analysis, scientific problem-solving, technical writing, and presentation skills.
• Collaborative and proactive approach with ownership of project deliverables.
• Commitment to quality, data integrity, laboratory safety, and good laboratory practices in a regulated environment.

Nice to have

• MSc/MEng or PhD/EngD qualification.
