Calibration Technician

Location: Based at the lab in Machesney Park, Illinois; travel to customer locations is required as needed. U.S. Persons only due to ITAR export-control requirements.

Salary: $19.00–$23.00 per hour, full-time day shift.

What you will do

• Calibrate mechanical inspection, measuring, and testing equipment.
• Work with hardness testers, optical comparators, surface plates, and tensile testers.
• Calibrate torque drivers, torque wrenches, torque analyzers, pressure gauges, temperature equipment, and force equipment.
• Perform field calibration work at customer locations as needed.
• Work independently on projects and collaborate with other technicians.

Requirements

• Previous experience calibrating mechanical measuring, inspection, and testing equipment, or experience using this equipment.
• Commercial or military experience is acceptable.
• Must be able to work 40 or more hours per week; overtime is required.
• Good verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
• Must provide a personal cell phone with a data plan for ATS email and multi-factor authentication.
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds and pass a driving-record check, background check, and drug screen.
