Calibration Technician (57430)

Location: Onsite at the lab in Machesney Park, Illinois, with travel to customer locations as needed. U.S. Persons only due to ITAR export control requirements.

Salary: $19.00–$23.00 per hour, full-time day shift.

What you will do

• Calibrate mechanical inspection, measuring, and testing equipment.
• Calibrate hardness testers, optical comparators, surface plates, and tensile testers.
• Calibrate torque drivers, torque wrenches, and torque analyzers.
• Calibrate pressure gauges, temperature equipment, and force equipment.
• Perform field calibration work at customer locations when required.
• Work independently or alongside other technicians on calibration projects.

Requirements

• Previous experience calibrating mechanical measuring, inspection, and testing equipment, or experience using such equipment.
• Commercial or military experience is acceptable.
• U.S. Person status is required: U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
• Ability to work 40 or more hours per week; overtime is required.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds and travel to customer sites.
• Good verbal, written, interpersonal, computer, and communication skills.
• Clean driving record; successful background check and drug screen required.
• Personal cell phone with a data plan required for ATS email and multifactor authentication.
