Chief Line Pilot

Location: Remote US, United States; must be able to work within the Eastern time zone. Domestic travel up to 40% is required, including occasional nights, weekends, and after-hours work.

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 base salary per year, plus bonus potential of 12.5%.

What you will do

• Train, standardize, coach, and evaluate aerial survey line pilots on aircraft and camera systems.
• Direct daily pilot assignments and participate in operations meetings to optimize flight time and capture efficiency.
• Conduct and supervise proficiency checks, initial and recurrent training, and qualification activities.
• Develop and maintain pilot training programs, learning management courses, operational policies, and safety procedures.
• Maintain pilot licenses, certificates, ratings, training records, and qualifications.
• Work with Pilot Operations and Aviation Safety to improve performance, address safety concerns, and support departmental initiatives.

Requirements

• Current Commercial Pilot License, CFI and MEI ratings, and Class 1 or 2 Medical certificate.
• At least 2,500 total flight hours, 2,000 PIC hours, 500 multi-engine PIC hours, 1,000 hours dual given, 250 multi-engine dual-given hours, and 500 cross-country hours.
• Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit and familiarity with Part 91 operating guidelines.
• Valid U.S. passport and ability to work within the Eastern time zone.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
• English proficiency, valid driver’s license, and ability to meet the stated physical and travel requirements.

Nice to have

• Current ATP or CFII ratings, 3,000 total hours, or 1,000 multi-engine PIC hours.
• Previous Chief Pilot, aerial survey, aerial imaging, aerial photography, Part 135, mountain flying, or Piper Aztec experience.
• Leadership and management experience, college degree or equivalent experience, and manual writing experience.
• Strong technical, written, verbal communication, prioritization, and adaptability skills.
• Microsoft Office proficiency and experience working remotely with a dedicated workspace.
