Technical Integration Consultant (Travel Technology)

Location: Madrid, Spain; support partners across the European region and travel up to 10% per year.

Salary: €43,000–€60,500 gross annual total cash range, with potential pay up to €69,000 based on sustained performance.

What you will do

• Lead technical workshops, presentations, and discovery sessions for affiliate and partner engineering teams.
• Advise partners on designing, implementing, testing, and operating integrations with the Expedia Rapid API.
• Translate complex technical concepts into practical recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Diagnose complex integration issues using logs, API responses, monitoring tools, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Collaborate with Support, Engineering, Product, Business Development, Account Management, and Sales teams on escalations and pre-sales solutions.
• Validate partner API implementations before launch, manage multiple projects, and capture feedback to improve documentation, tooling, and partner experience.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in technical consultancy or equivalent technical account management.
• Hands-on experience with multiple programming or scripting languages, including SQL.
• Practical experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, web services, and database schemas.
• Understanding of web, mobile, and high-volume e-commerce architectures.
• Strong technical communication, business acumen, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English required; willingness to travel up to 10% per year.

Nice to have

• Experience in travel, e-commerce, payments, or online marketplaces.
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or other cloud platforms.
• Technical pre-sales or solution consulting experience.
• Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or support tools.
• Experience supporting partner-facing products or integrations in a high-volume environment.
