Finance Accountant / Controller (Gaming)

Location: Prague, Czech Republic (Hybrid)

What you will do

• Act as the primary finance liaison with external accountants, payroll providers, tax advisors, auditors, and local authorities.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing, statutory reporting, audits, regulatory filings, and internal controls.
• Monitor Czech regulatory developments and implement changes affecting finance, compliance, and reporting processes.
• Partner with studio leaders on financial performance management, budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.
• Prepare management reports, forecasts, variance analyses, and actionable recommendations.
• Support cost management and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, audit, or financial planning and analysis.
• Strong understanding of Czech accounting, tax, payroll, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, business partnering, and coordination of external finance providers.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ACA, CA, or equivalent is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Fluent English and Czech, written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Experience in the technology, gaming, software, or professional services industry.
• Experience with Power Query, Power BI, Power Automate, or similar analytics and automation tools.
