Senior Tax Specialist (VAT)

Location: Hybrid, with on-site work at the Hub in Prague, Czech Republic

What you will do

• Prepare, validate, and submit VAT returns, supporting schedules, and documentation for the Federal Tax Authority.
• Provide VAT guidance to customer centers, the HUB VAT team, and other departments.
• Support tax audits, identify and manage tax risks, and escalate material risks.
• Analyze and improve VAT reporting processes, including automation initiatives.
• Communicate with business partners on VAT opportunities and risks in complex transactions.
• Deliver VAT training and mentor junior VAT team members.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in indirect taxes, especially VAT.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, laws, and standards.
• Very good command of English.
• Degree in business, economics, finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet strict deadlines, and support junior colleagues.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SAP.
