Senior Relationship Banker (Retail Banking)

Location: Severna Park, Maryland, United States of America; onsite, face-to-face branch environment.

Salary: $24.87–$41.45 hourly (USD)

What you will do

• Develop, expand, and retain customer relationships through proactive outreach, portfolio management, appointments, and referrals.
• Identify customer needs and recommend retail, mortgage, HELOC, business banking, treasury management, and merchant services solutions.
• Evaluate financing requests, recommend loan structures, and submit complete loan application packages.
• Build relationships with business partners, centers of influence, and community contacts to generate referral opportunities.
• Explain financial products, debt scenarios, interest expense, and amortization schedules clearly to customers.
• Maintain compliance and operational risk controls, including KYC, CIP, fraud prevention, audit requirements, and Federal SAFE Act registration.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of retail sales, call center, customer service, telesales, or similar experience, or at least 2 years of proven proactive sales experience.
• Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, customer service, organization, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Demonstrated financial services product knowledge and proficiency with internet user-level technology.
• Ability to communicate tactfully with internal and external customers and work in an open, face-to-face environment.
• Ability to meet and maintain Federal SAFE Act registration requirements.

Nice to have

• Associate degree.
• Notary public license.
• At least 3 years of financial services sales experience.
• Bilingual skills based on branch needs.
