Assistant Director, Tax Planning

Location: Davidson, North Carolina, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday, with a flexible work location on Fridays

Annual base salary: $168,340–$256,000

What you will do

• Represent Tax on cross-functional M&A teams across diligence, transaction structuring, contract negotiations, financing, and post-acquisition integration.
• Advise leadership on the tax implications of acquisitions and dispositions.
• Identify tax risks and opportunities, evaluate technical merits, and model tax and accounting impacts.
• Prepare conclusions, opinions, recommendations, and research memoranda on tax positions.
• Enhance tax technology tools and processes while collaborating with accounting, transfer pricing, international tax, and external advisors.
• Respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries and prepare position papers and talking points.

Requirements

• MS in Taxation or JD.
• BA/BS in Accounting.
• 15+ years of combined experience at a law firm, accounting firm, or F1000 company.
• Regular onsite work in Davidson, North Carolina, is required Monday through Thursday.
