Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake)

Location: Remote or hybrid work available from Bulgaria, Georgia, Lithuania, Mexico, Moldova, Poland, or Ukraine. Strong preference for overlap with U.S. Central Time, especially from 2:00 p.m. CT onward.

Salary: €5,700–€6,600 gross per month, depending on hiring location and experience.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership to a small team of Data Engineers and mentor engineers.
• Support the implementation of the target data architecture.
• Design and build scalable data pipelines and data products on Snowflake.
• Develop and maintain dbt models and orchestrated workflows using Dagster or Airflow.
• Collaborate with BI and Data Governance teams to migrate Alteryx logic, define critical data elements, and improve data quality.
• Validate outputs, investigate data issues, review technical designs, and contribute to engineering decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake and advanced hands-on experience with dbt.
• Experience with Dagster, Airflow, or similar orchestration platforms.
• Strong background in modern data architecture, data engineering, data quality, monitoring, and observability.
• Ability to lead technical discussions, mentor engineers, and collaborate across Engineering, BI, and Data Governance teams.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Nice to have

• Snowflake certification.
• Experience using Cursor, LLMs, or other AI-assisted software development tools.
• Availability for maximum overlap with U.S. Central Time working hours.
