Resident Consultant/Network Architect (Juniper Networks)

Location: Remote/teleworker with one week per month of on-site work at San Francisco Airport, California; willingness to travel is required.

Salary: $135,500–$275,000 annual base salary in the United States, California; variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Lead network information-gathering workshops and translate customer requirements into network designs.
• Design, troubleshoot, and optimize large-scale Juniper IP networks and architectures.
• Analyze configurations, test product functionality, and guide deployments against design specifications.
• Resolve pre- and post-production equipment and network issues with customer teams and JTAC.
• Develop network operating procedures, best-practice policies, and project status reports.
• Train customer engineering, implementation, and support personnel on Juniper products.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of design, implementation, and operational experience with large-scale IP networks.
• JUNOS CLI experience and large-scale experience with Juniper MX, EX, QFX, SRX, and MIST products.
• Experience with EVPN-VXLAN campus and data center switching fabrics, EVPN/MPLS, and L2/L3 VPN technologies.
• Experience with BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, RSVP-TE, LDP, SRX firewall policies, IPS, IPsec VPN, and HA clustering.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, customer presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Mastery of English and the local language; willingness to travel for monthly on-site customer support.
