Senior Industry Manager - Production Environments (Manufacturing)

Location: Munich, Germany

Salary: €73,000–€106,700 annual base salary for Germany-based roles; offers may exceed this range and may include bonuses, stock grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop evidence-based industry and market perspectives on the evolution of production environments, customer workflows, business priorities, and technology.
• Synthesize customer, market, and competitive insights to identify opportunities and define market positioning.
• Translate industry opportunities into product, platform, partnership, portfolio, roadmap, and investment recommendations.
• Build relationships with customers, industry leaders, partners, analysts, and associations, and lead strategic customer and industry engagements.
• Create clear strategic narratives for senior audiences and align cross-functional stakeholders around priorities, trade-offs, and decisions.
• Guide strategic initiatives from insight through decision and early execution, refining direction based on outcomes and new evidence.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience in industrial operations, product strategy, market strategy, consulting, enterprise technology, or transformation.
• Strong knowledge of production environments, their workflows, business priorities, and technologies.
• Experience developing market, product, business, or transformation strategies using customer research, market intelligence, competitive analysis, and market sizing.
• Ability to influence strategic priorities across cross-functional teams and lead initiatives in a matrixed organization.
• Experience engaging senior customer leadership, partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills; ability to travel approximately 25–30%.

Nice to have

• Experience in manufacturing, process industries, warehousing and distribution, or other asset-intensive production environments.
• Familiarity with MES, ERP/MRP, SCADA, IIoT, digital twins, or operational analytics.
• Experience with enterprise software, platforms, ecosystems, digital transformation, product strategy, market positioning, partnerships, or technology roadmaps.
• Established relationships in relevant customer, partner, or industry communities.
