(Senior) Manager, Digital Strategy & Delivery - Operations (m/f/d) (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Define and evolve the digital roadmap for production, process performance, and quality operations.
• Own initiatives from plant-floor pain point identification and business-case development through solution design, delivery oversight, and production rollout.
• Shape requirements, configuration priorities, and adoption for MES, process historians, and process analytics platforms.
• Sponsor manufacturing AI/ML use cases such as process optimization, predictive quality, and soft sensors.
• Build alignment with plant managers, production and quality leaders, process engineers, IT, data science, and implementation teams.
• Track operational KPIs and ROI, make rollout decisions, and drive data-driven change across manufacturing sites.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in the chemicals or process industry with hands-on manufacturing exposure.
• Proven experience improving manufacturing performance through operational excellence, digital, or AI/ML solutions.
• Hands-on exposure to manufacturing solutions such as MES, process historians, and process analytics.
• Structured problem-solving skills and the ability to manage strategic roadmaps while troubleshooting delivery challenges.
• Familiarity with supply chain processes and planning systems is a strong plus; Agile or product management certifications are also a plus.
