Web Developer (.NET/Blazor/Azure)

Location: Aberdeen, Scotland, UK; office-based, hybrid or remote depending on the successful candidate’s location and experience. Occasional travel may be required for team meetings, customer workshops, implementation support or training.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain functionality for C-SAM’s next-generation .NET web application framework.
• Build reusable Blazor components, shared services, configurable modules and responsive user interfaces.
• Modernize Windows-based functionality by migrating VB.NET and WinForms workflows to the web platform.
• Design secure, scalable solutions, including authentication, role-based access, integrations and multi-company application structures.
• Develop and optimize Entity Framework data access, SQL Server objects, queries and database performance.
• Deliver testing, deployments to Azure, defect resolution, documentation and continuous framework improvements.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET application development.
• Experience with Blazor Server, Blazor WebAssembly, ASP.NET Core or a similar Microsoft web technology.
• Strong SQL Server and T-SQL skills, including stored procedures, views, query optimization, indexing and execution plans.
• Experience with Entity Framework or Entity Framework Core, REST APIs, dependency injection and service-based architecture.
• Understanding of application security, authentication, role-based permissions, object-oriented programming and software design principles.
• Commercial software development experience, with the ability to work independently and collaborate within a small development team.

Nice to have

• Experience with VB.NET, WinForms, WPF or modernizing desktop applications.
• Microsoft Azure experience, including App Service, Azure SQL Database, Storage, Functions, Application Insights, Key Vault, Azure DevOps or Entra ID.
• Experience with MSAL, single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, multi-tenant SaaS applications or cross-platform development.
• Experience with Crystal Reports, operational reporting, background processing, message queues or business-system integrations.
• Knowledge of AI development tools, prompt design, AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation or vector search.
