Designer II

Location: On-site in Grand Rapids, Michigan, 5 days per week

Annual base salary: $49,400.00–$87,639.99; compensation type: exception hourly.

What you will do

• Create 2D and 3D graphics, designs, and documentation for control projects submitted by field offices.
• Document parts and bills of materials using computer-aided design and product lifecycle management systems.
• Work from engineering instructions, procedures, schematics, drawings, and sketches while following drafting standards.
• Lead small segments of larger projects, complete assignments, identify design problems, and correct errors.
• Maintain proficiency with computer-aided graphic systems and related applications through company training.
• Support products or train personnel at various locations when travel is required.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience using computer-aided graphic solutions in lieu of a degree, or an Associate’s Degree.
• Experience with SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or ProEngineer.
• Experience with CAD and AutoCAD.
• Ability to communicate effectively, exercise sound judgment, and maintain a customer-driven, innovative, and quality-minded approach.
• Ability to work on-site in Grand Rapids, Michigan five days per week.
