AI Assisted Engineering Practitioner (AI)

Location: Romania; candidates must be based in Cluj-Napoca or Bucharest and work from the office three days per week.

What you will do

• Contribute as an active software engineer on a multi-year capital markets program using AI coding assistants in daily delivery work.
• Design and deliver enablement sessions on prompting, critical review of AI-generated code, and responsible-use boundaries.
• Define AI engineering guidelines aligned with information security, data privacy, and intellectual property policies.
• Track adoption, quality impact, and time-to-feature metrics across engineering squads.
• Evaluate and pilot AI engineering tools, providing evidence-based recommendations.
• Collaborate on risk assessments covering data leakage, IP exposure, security issues, and code quality drift.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a practicing software engineer, with coding as the primary work activity.
• Daily hands-on experience with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent tools in real projects.
• Ability to identify hallucinations, security issues, logic errors, and other problems in AI-generated code.
• Experience or confidence in coaching peer engineers and delivering technical enablement sessions.
• Understanding of enterprise AI governance, data privacy, intellectual property, and acceptable-use policies.
• Python or Java as a primary programming language; proficient English at B2+ level required.

Nice to have

• Advanced prompt engineering, including context-window management, RAG patterns, and tool-use APIs.
• Experience evaluating AI tools in regulated or IP-sensitive environments.
• Background in engineering coaching or internal developer tooling.
