What you will do

• Act as the single point of contact for delinquent mortgage borrowers throughout loss mitigation and foreclosure processes.
• Handle inbound and outbound borrower calls while complying with applicable consumer collection laws and regulations.
• Answer account questions, document contacts in the mortgage servicing system, and collect required financial information.
• Review loss mitigation documents and explain approvals, declines, appeals, and re-application options.
• Explain liquidation options and the foreclosure process as needed.
• Follow operational risk controls, internal control standards, audit requirements, and regulatory expectations.

Requirements

• Four years of combined higher education and/or work experience, including at least one year in collections or customer service.
• Effective and professional phone communication skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Mortgage collections experience.
• Knowledge of M&T systems.
