AI-First AWS Cloud Engineer

Location: Remote Portugal

Salary: €28,000–€52,000 per month

What you will do

• Design, execute, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure and platform environments.
• Manage AWS services including EKS/ECS, VPC, RDS, IAM, SCPs, and SSO.
• Build and maintain Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Kubernetes environments.
• Use AI tools for infrastructure automation, pipeline review, troubleshooting, and technical problem-solving.
• Work directly with clients and explain AI agent decisions, outputs, and required human overrides.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or SRE roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Linux, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
• Proven experience using AI tools in daily engineering work.
• Hands-on experience with Claude and Claude Code is required.
• Ability to critically evaluate agentic AI workflows and identify when human intervention is needed.
• Professional English communication skills are required.
