Location: United Kingdom; remote-first, with an office available for in-person work. Short-period remote work overseas is permitted only while remaining a UK tax resident.
Salary: Β£60,000βΒ£65,000 per year, dependent on experience.

What you will do
- Manage and support AWS infrastructure with a focus on scalability, security, reliability, and cost optimization.
- Deploy containerized Docker/ECS and serverless AWS Lambda applications through CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
- Operate Aurora MySQL and DynamoDB data stores, including backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Monitor platform performance with Prometheus, Grafana, and AWS CloudWatch, responding to alerts and resolving incidents.
- Review network activity through AWS Security Hub and Cloudflare, and improve cloud security and compliance practices.
- Automate operational processes, improve observability, and identify performance bottlenecks across the platform.
Requirements
- Experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or a similar field.
- Strong experience with AWS services, containerized applications, Aurora MySQL, and DynamoDB.
- Expertise with Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch for real-time platform monitoring.
- Strong understanding of network security, Cloudflare, VPC, and networking fundamentals.
- Hands-on CI/CD experience for Docker and serverless applications, preferably with GitHub Actions, plus Linux and shell scripting proficiency.
- Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation and experience with incident management, troubleshooting, and platform recovery.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting a global, distributed team outside core business hours.
- Previous experience with SecOps and cloud security best practices.
- Experience scaling highly available systems in a fast-paced environment.
