Senior Product Manager, APIs

Location: Romania; fully remote

Base salary: $59,900–$168,500 per year, with location-based compensation.

What you will do

• Own an API-focused product area across strategy, roadmap, delivery, adoption, hypercare, and ongoing customer experience.
• Partner with Engineering Leads and Staff Engineers on architecture, technical direction, design quality, and implementation decisions.
• Design and maintain API products covering contracts, versioning, backward compatibility, integration patterns, and developer experience.
• Use prototypes, hands-on experimentation, Cursor, and/or Claude Code to validate assumptions, debug, and ship functional code where appropriate.
• Work with payroll, tax, operations, engineering, and other specialists to translate complex workflows into scalable product solutions.
• Monitor post-launch adoption and outcomes while documenting decisions, requirements, and technical reasoning asynchronously.

Requirements

• Experience as a Product Manager in a high-growth environment, ideally with B2B products or complex technology platforms.
• Strong technical depth in architecture, APIs, system design, and implementation trade-offs.
• Experience owning API-first products, including contracts, versioning, backward compatibility, integrations, and developer experience.
• Business-professional spoken and written English and the ability to collaborate across product, engineering, operations, sales, and other functions.
• Hands-on proficiency with Cursor and/or Claude Code, including independently building, debugging, and shipping functional code or prototypes.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fully remote, asynchronous environment with strong strategic judgment and product design instincts.

Nice to have

• Experience in payroll, HR, benefits, fintech, or other domains involving complex operational or financial workflows.
• Prior remote work experience.
