TL;DR
Finance Controller (Financial Reporting/Controlling): Managing finance activities for Finland and Denmark, including US GAAP reporting, month-end close, forecasting, variance analysis, and internal controls with an accent on statutory compliance and business decision support. Focus on leading AOP and forecast processes, improving financial controls, and delivering analysis for profitable and sustainable growth.
Location: Helsinki, Finland; on-site five days per week

What you will do
- Manage finance activities for Finland and Denmark and advise business leaders as part of the management team.
- Ensure timely corporate reporting under US GAAP, local requirements, statutory and tax rules, and relevant compliance controls.
- Lead month-end close, annual AOP, monthly forecasts, variance analysis, and reporting to the regional controller.
- Provide financial and operational analysis to support decision-making, profitable growth, and productivity improvement.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and identify weaknesses in administrative and financial processes.
- Coordinate with internal functions and cooperate with internal and external auditors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance.
- At least five years of experience in trade and/or service sectors; experience with US companies is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of local GAAP and US GAAP, financial controls, and reporting requirements.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for accounting, controlling, and reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems; Oracle R12 knowledge is preferred.
- Very good command of English and willingness to work on-site in Helsinki five days per week.
Nice to have
- CMA, MBA, or other financial certification.
- Experience with Oracle R12.
- Experience in US companies.
