Sr. Analyst, Brokerage Placement - Personal Lines

Salary: $60,000–$65,000 annual

What you will do

• Review and evaluate insurance submissions for acceptability, assess risks within established authority, and apply underwriting guidelines across carriers and lines of business.
• Negotiate coverage terms and requirements, issue quotes, bind policies, and maintain complete underwriting files.
• Build relationships with agents, carriers, internal teams, and external partners while identifying new business opportunities.
• Research agency, carrier, and market data to support pricing, product, and profitable growth decisions.
• Handle inquiries and complaints, educate agencies on available products, and provide consultative underwriting support.
• Lead or participate in process-improvement projects, quality assurance reviews, and training or mentoring initiatives.

Requirements

• P&C and Surplus Lines licenses, or an L&H license where required by the product line, must be obtained in all applicable states within 45 days.
• Solid understanding of brokerage placement programs and sophisticated placement techniques.
• Knowledge of state-specific underwriting statutes, insurance laws, regulations, carrier products, market conditions, pricing, and marketing techniques.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, communication, consultative, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to train and develop less experienced associates and adapt to changing situations.
• Three to five years of related insurance experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Undergraduate degree in business administration or a related field.
• CIC, CPCU, or pursuit of technical insurance coursework.
