Accounts Payable Specialist

What you will do

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable operations, including vendor invoice entry, verification, coding, approvals, and payment processing.
• Prepare ACH and wire transfers for approval, process weekly check runs, and coordinate recurring vendor payments.
• Investigate and resolve invoice, payment, credit card, and employee expense discrepancies with vendors and internal departments.
• Record and reconcile corporate credit card transactions and employee expense reports, including receipt documentation and expense allocation.
• Prepare reconciliation schedules, journal entries, accruals, and AP cutoff documentation for month-end and year-end close.
• Maintain audit-ready records, support audit requests, and improve accounting processes and internal controls.

Requirements

• At least two years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or another ERP or accounting system.
• Experience with online banking platforms for wire transfers and ACH payments.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, general ledger coding, account reconciliations, internal controls, and U.S. GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office, with strong communication, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information and work accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience with multi-entity or multi-company accounting and month-end and year-end close support.
