Director – Leveraged Finance Portfolio Manager

What you will do

• Underwrite complex commercial loans in accordance with credit policies.
• Manage an assigned leveraged finance portfolio, including monitoring credit quality and identifying emerging risks.
• Administer portfolios by handling delinquencies, collateral exceptions, borrowing base and covenant compliance, and product renewals.
• Perform cash flow analysis, financial modeling, capitalization analysis, and industry and market research.
• Review and negotiate credit documentation in consultation with legal counsel.
• Collaborate with Relationship Management, Credit Administration, Capital Markets, Treasury Management, and other product partners while mentoring junior colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 8+ years of experience in underwriting or a commercial banking environment.
• Professionalism and strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work in the Charlotte office workplace.

Nice to have

• Formal credit training.
• Experience in the syndicated loan market.
• Proficiency in S&P Capital IQ.
