Equipment Estimator (HVAC)

Location: Towson, Maryland, United States. Work onsite Monday through Thursday; choose the work location on Fridays based on work requirements.

Annual base salary: $78,406.66–$109,479.99. Incentive eligible; not eligible for sales commission.

What you will do

• Review plans and specifications and develop accurate cost estimates for equipment, materials, subcontractors, labor, and construction-related activities.
• Select, price, and validate HVAC equipment, controls, and services for each project.
• Develop facility-related solutions and determine project needs, constraints, and responsibilities for HVAC system design and installation.
• Discuss solutions and coordinate project requirements with account managers, project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, technicians, and customers.
• Prepare and review preliminary and final proposals, equipment submittals, and equipment selections.
• Support proposal pricing, selling strategy, and project fulfillment scheduling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, or business management preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
• Three to five years of experience in estimating, project management, engineering, HVAC, or construction management.
• Strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with HVAC systems or temperature controls preferred.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations; overtime and weekend work may be required.
