IT Support Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote from Australia; daytime-focused schedule with occasional after-hours support.

Salary: A$96.2K–A$110.4K annual base salary, plus potential equity and discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Provide escalated technical support for laptops, SaaS applications, availability, and identity-related issues.
• Manage onboarding, offboarding, device provisioning, access management, and hardware inventory.
• Administer MDM platforms such as Microsoft Intune and Jamf for endpoint management, warranties, and refresh cycles.
• Drive automation and scripting projects to improve efficiency and consistency across systems and integrations.
• Manage secure access technologies including Microsoft Entra, Auth0, AWS VPN, and 1Password.
• Create operational playbooks, document solutions, track incidents and changes in Jira Service Management, and identify recurring issues for process improvement.

Requirements

• 6+ years of IT experience, including at least 3 years in systems administration.
• Experience supporting both macOS and Windows environments.
• Hands-on administration of Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory/Entra ID, plus familiarity with Slack, Google Workspace, and Zoom.
• Understanding of IAM concepts including SSO, MFA, ZTNA, PAM/JIT, and IdP.
• Experience with MDM platforms and scripting in PowerShell, shell scripting, and/or Python.
• Exposure to ticketing systems and RPA tools, understanding of ITIL, and strong independent problem-solving skills.
