Systems Engineer (Weekend Warrior) (Linux/Go/Python): Supporting and improving global trading infrastructure and high-performance computing environments in Sydney or Singapore with an accent on complex troubleshooting, systems engineering, and automated operations. Focus on developing diagnostic tools, performing root-cause analysis, debugging application stacks, and maintaining complicated infrastructure during scheduled weekend shifts.
Location: Sydney or Singapore. The role includes a modified 4- or 5-day work week with scheduled Saturday and Sunday shifts, including 12-hour shifts during assigned weekends.

What you will do
- Work on global infrastructure projects spanning low-level systems, applications, high-performance computing, and trading infrastructure.
- Manage and resolve technically complex infrastructure issues.
- Develop tools for diagnosing, resolving, and triaging difficult technical problems.
- Collaborate across engineering projects and avoid siloed ownership.
- Provide immediate troubleshooting and support during assigned weekend shifts.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of Linux.
- Networking knowledge and willingness to deepen it.
- Scripting competence in Go or Python, with willingness to learn both.
- Extensive experience profiling and debugging application stacks.
- Extensive experience designing, building, and maintaining complicated systems.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Salt, Puppet, or Ansible, plus strong root-cause analysis skills and reliable availability.
