Sourced Products Supplier Quality Engineer (HVAC)

Location: Lexington, Kentucky, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday and flexible work location on Fridays

Salary: $69,600–$124,950 annual base salary

What you will do

• Build collaborative quality relationships with sourced HVAC product partners across sustaining products and new product initiatives.
• Coach and mentor suppliers on problem-solving methods for field and customer quality concerns.
• Deploy standard work to improve productivity, first-pass yield, and supplier performance.
• Analyze warranty claims and field quality alerts, track supplier metrics, and identify Pareto issues.
• Conduct supplier process reviews and audits and implement accountability measures for quality deliverables.
• Drive APQP activities for new product introductions and coordinate warranty recovery and part-return teardown analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or a related discipline.
• 8–12 years of experience in quality or quality engineering within design, engineering, or manufacturing environments.
• Applied knowledge of APQP, FMEA, and PPAP, including DFMEA deployment and Production Part Approval Processes.
• Strong analytical, technical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to influence and motivate suppliers and collaborate with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
• Ability to travel up to 50%, with occasional higher travel peaks.

Nice to have

• Professional certification such as CPM, Six Sigma, CQM, CQE, CSQE, or PE.
