Service Technician (Climate Solutions)

Location: Birmingham, UK. Field-based work conducted on-site at customer locations.

What you will do

• Diagnose system problems and repair climate-control products and equipment at assigned customer sites.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, breakdown, warranty, hire, and commissioning work.
• Build and maintain customer relationships as a trusted technical contact.
• Use diagnostic software, applications, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to complete repairs.
• Communicate with the service desk, sales, operations, supervisors, regional service managers, senior technicians, and customers.
• Prepare regular reports on completed invoiced work orders and support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a service or field-based technician role.
• Strong customer service, communication, interpersonal, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and use diagnostic applications and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Appropriate skilled-based certificates, including F-Gas certification.
• Ability to cover planned weekday, weekend, and bank holiday standby and call-outs.
• Valid UK driving licence and confirmed right to work in the country of application required.
