What you will do

• Advise launching and established hedge funds on legal, compliance, regulatory, and operational matters.
• Support fund formation and structuring, including master-feeder, standalone, and mini-master structures across key jurisdictions.
• Guide managers through licensing requirements involving the SFC, MAS, SEC, CFTC, and FCA.
• Design and scale compliance programs, advise on employment law and marketing regulations, and support separately managed account structures.
• Lead client engagements with founders, COOs, general counsels, and chief compliance officers.
• Collaborate with consulting, sales, government affairs, legal, and compliance teams while producing industry content and participating in client events.

Requirements

• JD, LLB, or equivalent legal qualification.
• At least 7 years of legal, compliance, or regulatory consulting experience in the asset management industry.
• Experience advising senior executives at complex institutional investment managers.
• Deep knowledge of global regulatory frameworks and hedge fund structuring.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English required.

Nice to have

• Mandarin or Cantonese proficiency for regional APAC client coverage.
• Experience spanning business operations, technology, or capital introduction.
• Background in client relationship management and consultative problem-solving.
