Manager (Financial Services Consulting)

Location: Hybrid in London or Hemel Hempstead, United Kingdom; typically 60% of the working week in the office or with clients.

What you will do

• Lead multiple large-scale projects and programmes with cross-divisional specialists.
• Manage project scope, delivery, reporting, evaluation, commercial terms, contracts, quality, profitability, and deadlines.
• Build strategic relationships with clients and senior stakeholders, identify opportunities, and lead negotiations.
• Monitor risks and issues, communicate them early, and propose practical solutions.
• Review junior colleagues’ work and provide coaching, mentoring, development opportunities, and onboarding support.
• Contribute to senior management decisions, performance development, resource allocation, and employee wellbeing.

Requirements

• Experience in a consulting role within financial services.
• Experience leading large-scale financial projects, including designing and implementing financial operating models.
• Experience with financial modelling, budgeting, business planning, forecasting, and analysis.
• Accounting qualification such as ACA, ACMA, ACCA, or equivalent.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly, work under pressure, prioritise competing demands, and lead teams effectively.

Nice to have

• First-level university degree at 2:1 or equivalent, or above.
• Professional status or relevant accreditation.
