Principal Software Engineer (React)

What you will do

• Define the technical vision and architecture for hirify.global’s design language from inception through rollout.
• Lead initiatives involving motion systems, enterprise-scale theming, branding, generative UI, and visual coherence.
• Build robust, accessible, performant, scalable, and maintainable foundations for hirify.global applications.
• Partner with product designers, design technologists, product leaders, and engineering teams on company-wide staged rollouts.
• Improve developer productivity through tooling, migration patterns, AI workflows, automation, deduplication, and technical-debt reduction.
• Mentor senior engineers and contribute hands-on technical guidance, reviews, pairing, and engineering standards.

Requirements

• Systems thinking and experience architecting and maintaining large-scale platforms.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration with designers and product leaders.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Extensive experience with modern frontend technologies and release processes, including React, TypeScript, bundling, linting, feature gating, and incident management.
• Experience leading complex projects and programs of work.
• A track record of strengthening high-performing engineering cultures through mentoring, standards, recruiting, or community building.

Nice to have

• Strong interest in design systems.
• Familiarity with design fundamentals such as motion design and colour systems.
