Frontend Engineer (React/TypeScript)

What you will do

• Design and build user interfaces with modern frontend frameworks.
• Develop interactive experiences and product features across Canva Editor, Docs, Presentations, Websites, and Magic Studio.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to solve user problems.
• Write clean, tested, and maintainable code with guidance from senior engineers.
• Contribute to shared libraries, design systems, and reusable components.
• Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and team rituals.

Requirements

• Experience building web applications with React and TypeScript.
• Strong JavaScript fundamentals and understanding of web technologies.
• Experience taking features from planning and implementation through testing and release.
• Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams and respond constructively to feedback.
• Focus on accessible, performant, and user-friendly interfaces.
• Hands-on experience using AI in coding or programming.
