Instrumentation Startup Engineer

Location: Full-time onsite near Zebulon, North Carolina, United States

What you will do

• Support startup and commissioning of instrumentation systems for drug substance manufacturing systems.
• Perform field troubleshooting, issue resolution, system walkdowns, and punch list closure.
• Assist with loop checks, functional testing, startup documentation, and commissioning records.
• Coordinate with Automation, Electrical, CQV, vendors, and Operations.
• Support operational readiness and system turnover activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred.
• Experience supporting startup or commissioning activities in regulated manufacturing.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to work full-time onsite near Zebulon, North Carolina.

Nice to have

• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences manufacturing.
• Instrumentation field engineering and commissioning/startup support experience.
• Experience with smart instrumentation, pressure, flow, temperature, and level instrumentation, control valves, or analytical instrumentation.
• Experience with DeltaV or other DCS interfaces and GMP manufacturing environments.
