Registered Nurse Pediatrics Part-time Nights (Pediatrics)

Location: 25 N. Winfield Rd., Winfield, Illinois, United States; on-site night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. with every third weekend rotation

Salary: USD 34.50–55.20 per hour

What you will do

• Assess acutely ill pediatric patients and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Implement, coordinate, and evaluate nursing interventions and patient outcomes.
• Direct care delivery and determine the appropriate use of assistants involved in patient care.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff.
• Document care plans, communications, interventions, and patient responses in the health record.
• Participate in shared governance, committee work, unit projects, and evidence-based practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; an Associate Degree in Nursing is accepted with a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical skills.
• Ability to provide professional nursing care according to applicable standards, policies, and regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience in the relevant clinical area.
• Trauma Nurse Specialist, Emergency Communications Registered Nurse, Certified Pediatric Nurse, or Certified Emergency Nurse credentials.
• Emergency room or pediatric emergency room experience.
