Remote Reg Dir Payer Strat & Contract (Healthcare Finance)

What you will do

• Develop and execute managed care and commercial payer strategies with regional hospital CEOs and CFOs.
• Negotiate regional payer contracts using consistent language and reimbursement methodologies aligned with hospital strategies.
• Implement managed care contracts, payer policy updates, monitoring programs, and denial management initiatives.
• Monitor payer financial and operational performance and lead corrective actions, improvement activities, and pay-for-performance initiatives.
• Build relationships with hospital, Revenue Excellence, System Office, Legal, and payer senior leadership.
• Manage and mentor regional payer contracting staff, prepare budgets, and oversee resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related area.
• Eight to ten years of healthcare experience, including significant managed care and payer experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare finance, managed care, and insurer contracting.
• Proven contract negotiation skills and strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, shared-leadership environment.
• Integrity-driven leadership style with the ability to motivate and inspire others.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in business administration or health administration.
• Professional certification such as FHFMA, FACHE, or FAHM.
