Occupational Health and Safety Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA

Compensation: $128,000 – $155,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Run the facility ergonomics program, conducting assessments using NIOSH, RULA, and REBA methodologies.
• Plan and oversee industrial hygiene testing, including noise dosimetry and air sampling for vapors and particulates.
• Administer the PPE hazard assessment and respiratory protection program, including fit testing and medical clearance.
• Manage the industrial hygiene budget, third-party labs, and occupational health specialists.
• Collaborate with Industrial Engineering to optimize line balancing and rotation schedules to reduce injury risks.
• Track and report ergonomic ROI metrics to plant leadership.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Technical background in industrial hygiene, occupational health, or a related science/engineering field.
• Experience running job hazard analysis and ergonomics programs using NIOSH, RULA, or REBA.
• Proven ability to design and execute industrial hygiene sampling plans and interpret results against OSHA/NIOSH/ACGIH standards.
• Experience managing respiratory protection programs and PPE hazard assessments in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing staff or vendor relationships and budgets.

Nice to have

• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE).
• Experience with workers' compensation claims management.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 management systems.
