Senior Data Product Manager (Data)

Location: Onsite in Austin, Texas or Southlake, Texas

Salary: USD $150,000–$160,000 per year, plus eligible bonus or incentive opportunities

What you will do

• Own the strategy, roadmap, lifecycle, and value realization of one or more data products.
• Define product vision, target users, use cases, data domains, capabilities, success metrics, and business outcomes.
• Lead discovery and prioritization sessions, assess feasibility, and sequence delivery based on impact and dependencies.
• Translate business needs into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria while aligning business and technical implementation.
• Partner with data engineering, platform, and architecture teams to build scalable, reusable, governed data products.
• Drive delivery, onboarding, adoption, KPI tracking, stakeholder alignment, and continuous product improvement using JIRA and Confluence.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience, including 3+ years in project or product management.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience owning data products and explaining the problem statement and delivery approach.
• Experience with data discovery, basic SQL validation, business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Ability to define and track product KPIs such as usage, adoption, data quality, time-to-insight, and business impact.
• Strong communication, collaboration, facilitation, structured problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in engineering, information systems, or business administration.
• Experience with modern data platforms such as Google BigQuery.
• Experience with metadata, data quality, data lineage, and other data management practices.
• Experience creating go-to-market and user adoption approaches for data products.
