TL;DR
Program Manager, Operational Excellence (Lean/Six Sigma): Implementing enterprise-wide operational improvements and standardized practices with an accent on continuous improvement, quality assurance, performance metrics, and cost-of-poor-quality reduction. Focus on leading kaizen events, coaching teams in Lean tools, building balanced scorecards, and using PowerBI and KanBo to measure business outcomes.
Location: Remote in the United States, with a preference for candidates available to work from the Corvallis, Oregon or Houston, Texas office. Travel may be required 10–25% of the time, primarily domestically.
Salary: $150,537–$181,682 target base salary annually; full base salary range of $134,964–$211,098 annually.

What you will do
- Lead operational excellence strategies and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple departments.
- Facilitate value stream mapping, A3 problem solving, FMEA, Lean, and other operational excellence methodologies.
- Lead kaizen events and coach employees and leaders in the application of improvement tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, eliminate redundancies, and reduce cost of poor quality.
- Define performance metrics and support balanced scorecard reporting, data analysis, and actionable recommendations.
- Improve the use of PowerBI, KanBo, and similar platforms to track initiatives, accountability, and business impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, with significant applicable operational excellence or continuous improvement experience.
- 7+ years of operational excellence experience, including work in a non-manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated leadership of improvement initiatives delivering tangible business results.
- Ability to coach and mentor others, manage priorities, and communicate effectively in writing, presentations, and interpersonal interactions.
- Understanding of quality assurance regulations and standards, including 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
- Must be eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
Nice to have
- Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Root cause analyst certification.
- Experience with nuclear corrective action programs and causal analysis.
- Experience in the commercial nuclear industry or with ASME NQA-1 and ISO 9001 quality systems.
