Release Train Engineer (SAFe)

Location: Remote – U.S.A.

Salary: $95K–$115K per year, plus a potential discretionary incentive program and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate the Agile Release Train operating rhythm across assigned software delivery programs.
• Facilitate pre-PI refinement, two-day PI Planning, Confidence Vote, ROAM exercises, Scrum of Scrums, PO Sync, ART Sync, System Demo, and Inspect & Adapt events.
• Manage cross-team dependencies, impediments, scope changes, risks, and escalations throughout each Program Increment.
• Maintain Program Boards, PI Objectives, ROAM registers, capacity plans, decision logs, and other program artifacts.
• Track Predictability, Flow, Business Value, capacity debt, and other program metrics, triggering re-planning when required.
• Coach Product Managers, Product Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and ART participants on SAFe adoption and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least two active SAFe or Agile certifications; SAFe Release Train Engineer certification is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience leading software delivery programs.
• 2+ years coordinating multiple teams at the program level.
• Experience facilitating or co-facilitating at least three PI Planning events.
• Working knowledge of SAFe 6.0, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and tools including Jira, Azure DevOps, Miro, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, Tableau, Power BI, and Excel.

Nice to have

• Graduate-level education in Agile Project Management, Organizational Transformation, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with hirify.global’s two-Jira-project model and Product & Engineering Process.
