Data Center Operations Program Manager

Location: Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; U.S. Remote. Location type: On-site.

Salary: $160,000–$230,000 per year plus equity.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end site handover framework, including gates, acceptance criteria, and sign-off procedures.
• Shape maintainability requirements with design, construction, and due diligence teams before facilities become operational.
• Coordinate training, documentation, systems access, and knowledge transfer across cross-functional teams.
• Build and maintain SOPs for critical data center operations and track adoption, execution quality, and efficiency.
• Lead incident management, post-incident reviews, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Develop dashboards and reporting on stability metrics, incident trends, and CAPA progress.

Requirements

• Experience running program management in mission-critical environments with significant operational consequences.
• Experience designing operational frameworks, handover gates, SOP libraries, and incident management programs from scratch.
• Ability to coordinate design, construction, supply chain, and site operations teams.
• Strong written communication and ability to turn complex operational issues into decisions and next actions.
• Experience tracking incident trends and CAPA status through closure using live dashboards.
• Hands-on experience building or maintaining SOPs and measuring compliance.

Nice to have

• ITIL, PMP, or PgMP certification.
• Hyperscale or large colocation operator experience.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, Uptime Institute, or TIA-942 standards.
• Experience with data center construction and commissioning processes.
