Digital - Principal SRE (AI Engineer)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement AI-driven systems and automation tools that improve the reliability and efficiency of digital platforms.
• Monitor the health, availability, and performance of AI-enabled applications and infrastructure using SRE practices.
• Integrate machine learning models into production environments and develop abstraction layers across AI providers such as Google and OpenAI.
• Establish SLOs, error budgets, incident response procedures, observability practices, and operational runbooks.
• Troubleshoot complex AI incidents, analyze post-incident reviews, automate manual work, and optimize system performance.
• Conduct design workshops, proofs of concept, and code-with sessions while defining metrics and evaluation plans for agent accuracy, latency, safety, and cost effectiveness.

Requirements

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States; immigration or work-permit sponsorship is not available.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field, plus relevant experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering, SRE, DevOps, or related roles.
• Hands-on programming experience with Python, Java, or similar languages, including developing and deploying machine learning models.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, observability tools, and ServiceNow.
• Understanding of SRE principles, infrastructure as code with Terraform or Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• Experience operationalizing large language models or generative AI systems in production.
• Background in MLOps, data engineering, or cloud-native AI deployment.
• Knowledge of security best practices for AI and cloud infrastructure.
• Contributions to open-source AI or SRE projects and relevant technical communities.
