Release Train Engineer III

Location: Hoover, Alabama, United States

Salary: $62–$66 per hour, W-2

What you will do

• Oversee one or more Agile Release Trains with complex scope and interdependencies.
• Coordinate release planning, feature definition, delivery, and communication with stakeholders and customers.
• Manage risks, impediments, dependencies, quarterly plan changes, budgets, and feature delivery across trains and solution groups.
• Use Agile ceremonies and delivery metrics to drive continuous improvement and maintain execution against the backlog.
• Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and facilitate cross-train synchronization.
• Align product and solution management, product owners, the PMO, and other stakeholders on strategy and execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with six years of experience as a Release Train Engineer, Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Agile Project/Program Manager; or a high school diploma/GED with ten years of relevant experience.
• Scaled Agile certification, such as Agile Practitioner or SAFe Certified Release Train Engineer.
• Ability to facilitate large planning and solutioning sessions and manage stakeholders at train and solution levels.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of Agile at scale, Scrum practices, program budgets, risk management, and Agile metrics.

Nice to have

• Experience interpreting Agile delivery metrics.
• Prior management experience.
