Location: Hybrid in San Jose, CA, with on-site work required three days per week. Access to export-controlled information requires U.S. person status, eligibility without export authorization, or eligibility and reasonable likelihood of obtaining the required U.S. authorization.
Salary: $156,000–$186,000 per year, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.

designs, builds, and operates LEO satellite constellations and spacecraft for mission-critical Earth intelligence, including climate monitoring and national security applications.
What you will do
- Own and evolve build flows, test environments, integration pipelines, and delivery processes for FPGA and GPU code.
- Maintain synthesis, simulation, profiling, cross-compilation, and containerized toolchain environments.
- Develop shared components and reference flows to reduce variation across missions and downstream consumers.
- Manage the Onboard Compute roadmap in Jira, including epics, stories, dashboards, JQL, reporting, and resource-utilization snapshots.
- Lead estimation and planning discussions, track planning-accuracy metrics, and publish weekly status reports.
- Maintain Confluence documentation and support onboarding and training materials for tooling, build flows, and platform practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, plus 3+ years of professional engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with FPGA and/or GPU workflows, including synthesis or compilation toolchains, simulation or profiling environments, and build or release pipelines.
- Experience with build systems, test environments, and integration pipelines for embedded or hardware-adjacent codebases.
- Ability to manage variation across multiple products, missions, or configurations using shared components, reference flows, or platform contracts.
- Strong scripting, Jira, Confluence, estimation, planning, reporting, and technical communication skills.
- Must meet applicable U.S. Government export-control access requirements for the role.
Nice to have
- Experience as a Platform, Engineering Productivity, Developer Experience, DevOps, or Build/Release Engineer supporting FPGA, embedded, or GPU teams.
- Experience with Vivado, Quartus, NVIDIA Jetson or IGX-class platforms, hardware-in-the-loop testing, or lab-bench regression infrastructure.
- Familiarity with containerization and development pipeline tooling.
- Exposure to space, aerospace, or other mission-critical engineering environments.
