What you will do

  • Design and develop mechanical components, electro-mechanical assemblies, mechanisms, and custom test fixtures for regulated medical devices.
  • Apply engineering rigor to improve product robustness, reliability, and patient safety.
  • Use 3D CAD and CAE simulation tools, including FEA, CFD, and mold-flow analysis, to verify designs.
  • Create engineering drawings using ASME Y14.5 standards, perform tolerance analysis, and process Engineering Change Orders.
  • Support design reviews, verification and validation activities, technical feasibility studies, and sustaining engineering.
  • Conduct product failure investigations, root cause analysis, and Design of Experiments while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field; an associate degree with significant industry experience may be considered.
  • 0–3 years of mechanical engineering experience.
  • Practical knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes, including machining, casting, sheet metal, and adhesives.
  • Proficiency with PLM/PDM systems, preferably Windchill, and SolidWorks and/or Creo.
  • Working knowledge of FEA software, preferably ANSYS, and fundamental experience with GD&T.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
