Manager, Acctg Policy & Controls (US GAAP/SEC Reporting)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States; hybrid schedule with at least four full days each week in an hirify.global office

What you will do

• Provide authoritative technical accounting guidance on complex and strategic transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and financial reporting implications.
• Develop formal accounting positions and perform reviews covering consolidation, VIE assessments, segment reporting, loss contingencies, revenue recognition, management fee arrangements, restructuring, and impairment.
• Conduct accounting research and analysis for new standards, business combinations, and other complex transactions.
• Review quarterly financial statements and publicly reported information, including 10-Q and 10-K filings, and provide quality assurance.
• Assess emerging disclosure risks, implement appropriate responses, and provide Finance leadership with peer analysis of industry trends.
• Support corporate audits and help accounting team members when required.

Requirements

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting.
• CPA certification.
• 6+ years of experience in public accounting, US GAAP accounting policy, and/or SEC reporting.
• Experience drafting technical accounting memoranda and policy documentation.
• Strong understanding of technical accounting concepts and financial reporting processes.
• Excellent communication, prioritization, stakeholder management, and technology adoption skills.
