Director of SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting

Location: San Jose Great Oaks Headquarters, California; secondary location in Irvine, California

Salary: $184,500–$246,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead preparation and filing of periodic SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, proxy materials, financial statements, notes, and MD&A.
• Coordinate annual audits and quarterly reviews with the independent registered public accounting firm and internal business functions.
• Partner with investor relations on financial presentations and collaborate with accounting, tax, treasury, legal, HR, operations, and IT.
• Monitor SEC and FASB developments, assess their impact, and implement accounting, disclosure, process, and system improvements.
• Provide technical accounting leadership for strategic transactions and prepare information for the Audit Committee.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent experience, with 10+ years of overall experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, with hands-on experience preparing Form 10-K, 10-Q, proxy, and related SEC filings.
• Active CPA license and 6+ years of demonstrated team management experience.
• Experience with capital market transactions, comfort letters, multinational operations, and multiple currencies.
• Experience implementing new accounting standards, process and system automation, cross-functional projects, and management presentations.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle ERP and Workiva, alongside effective communication and relationship-building skills.
