Legal Counsel (AI)

Location: Must be based in New York, NY; Austin, TX; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA (On-site)

Salary: $170,000 – $204,000

What you will do

• Build the legal and compliance function from the ground up for a massive compute buildout.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements related to data center operations.
• Develop scalable contracting frameworks to enable a lean legal team to keep pace with rapid business growth.
• Partner with finance and business teams to drive agreements from initial request to final signature.
• Manage multiple contract workstreams in parallel under tight deadlines.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating a broad range of standard commercial contracts.
• Ability to interpret complex contractual language and explain its business impact clearly.
• Experience using AI tools for legal research, contract analysis, or document review.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience with data centers and related infrastructure.
• Background in negotiating inbound technology licensing and procurement contracts.
