Legal Counsel (Fintech)

Location: Must be based in the US

Compensation: $250,000 – $300,000 + Equity + Bonus

What you will do

• Act as the primary legal partner for commercial and corporate transactions.
• Translate complex legal requirements into clear, actionable business advice.
• Navigate regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to the fintech industry.
• Negotiate high-stakes deals with both major Fortune 500 partners and startups.
• Integrate generative AI tools into legal workflows to improve efficiency and judgment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant commercial and corporate law experience.
• Admitted to a US state bar or eligible to register as in-house counsel.
• Must be based in the US.
• Experience with privacy regulations such as GLBA and state-specific privacy laws.
• Strong ability to simplify complex legal concepts for non-legal stakeholders.
• Curiosity and proficiency in using generative AI tools for legal research and operations.

Nice to have

• Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools like IronClad or Zip.
• Prior in-house legal experience.
